the one handed ninja came home from work to find music blarring and a note on the door saying "you never know what you'll find..." ...tan tan had in fact gone crazy. i was wisked away to value village where i found myself wearing something with a little too much shoulder pad for my liking. wearing my new ensemble with as much confidence as anyone could muster and tanya in her new grey moon boots, 2 sizes too big of course, we paraded around town...making friends with unsuspecting and easily embarrased folk.
i think sometimes you have to go a little berserk to balance out the intensity life can throw at youo....and i'm thinking the was one of those moments for tanya...i was prvileged to be a part of it...although i now smell like a second hand clothing store and my head is itchy from the thought of someones elses hat on my head. trying not to thinka bout it.

the prayer mountain floosy has gone and done it!!!!
HDC...ENGAGED!!
congrats! love ya babes!
michael...i trust you realise what you've gotten yourself into with this one?! she's a nutter!
so so exciting!!
"tis just a flesh wound!"
so... four hours and three stitches later i type this to you with a very numb, bandaged right hand. i think this deli chick has fought with her last meat slicer...
before anyone (mom) has a meltdown....i'm ok. "'tis but a scratch!" and so begins the monty python sketch...

rivendell and the road to nowhere...
my roomate tanya and i went on a little adventure last weekend and found ourselves in rivendell. no elves tho... we took a ferry to bowen island and then drove to the top of a mountain and there it was...we stayed for a couple of nights...met a few random folks, walked up a very long hill, ate pistacio nuts...too many i think. is that bad for you? i think perhaps....
being so great at living in total solitude i decided to hit the nearest town after a few short hours....then realised i had to walk back up the mountain i'd just descended... loaded down like a pack-horse with 'essentials' like coffee and milk. got back and 5 minutes later me and tan-tan decided we'd go for a drive and find the ocean cliffs. our car broke down in the middle of nowhere and my phone wouldn't work. it's always the people who know absolutly nothing about cars that insist on looking under the hood...like it's going to magically tell them whats wrong. or they will suddenly discover a hidden talent for mechanics that they never knew they had. not me i just sit in the sun and max out the beautiful scenery, eating pistacios of course. a few nods of agreement in the general direction of the hood every now and then to keep up morale. but really who the hells knows what the clunking sound was and why it started suddenly and how to make it stop. i won't pretend. so when things became serious...we really were stranded...all i could do was pray. discovered that this should not be the last resort...god totally fixed the car, the weird noise stopped and we made it all the way back to the elvish resting place! love it.
he seems to be taking me on a lot of roads to nowhere to say just one thing...trust me first....thats the risk...the stories will follow.
