2005 top fives...
here we go...
- definitely getting into the u2 video shoot with cate here in vancouver in
april was a highlight and a dream.
-going to europe 4 times this year when i didn't think i'd be going once
deserves a mention me thinks. and under this category i think i'll cheat the
rules of top fives a little and make a sub-top fives category...top five
european adventures of the year....
1)hungary and seinfeld with brez and
those really good little ham and cheese pastry things. nice.
2)glastonbury...sneaking in as durk young with caleb and getting a musical
education. thanks boys.
3)elbow and coldplay with drago. and running
through the rain to get to the front. very movie set my long legged
stawamus. sweetnes. ha ha.
4)make poverty history and all things
edinburgh.
5)and last but not least...BERLIN!!!! i'm in love with that
place. oh no. so many places to call home!
ok back to the basics... number three of the year...
- having many wonderful and lovely people come to visit me in my beautiful city...and all the adventures that came from that...(cate you forgot to mention the near death
by scarf situation you got yourself into during the chopper bike ride around
the park...care to elaborate?! ) i love being an unofficial tour guide in
one of the most beautiful cities with people i love. the pays not great but
the stories are better!
-four...whistler...everything about it...the slopes, the vibe, the new
friends, the community, the creativity, the beginnings of a dream realised,
the 24-7 taking shape and what that means, my future home, and the great
burgers from the southside diner...
-and finally...my brothers wedding! was fun and i looked like marilyn
monroe.... oh but it's not about me right? :) i was proud of my little
bro...he done good.
now...if i were to add a more specific god portion to this email i could do
a whole nother set of five's...so i will just leave you with this one....
i'm filling out into more of the oria that god wants to recognise and hang
out with and that i function better as. it's nice. it's freedom. and thats all for now my lovely readers.
2006 will be good...maybe the best one yet...yeah...the best one yet. i
think it's going to be one of dreams unfolding and becoming reality, of fun
and adventure...of fighting for what you want, but with fire not with
shackles. if that makes sense. so... here's to the ride!

i fly to manitoba tomorrow. a white christmas. but first...packing, sorting, a few drinks with a couple friends down at the ol'irish heather...and one more short shift at the deli...then...i'm off. 2006...excites me.

today was a good day...involving irish whiskey, the twin villans and mark the script artist, tales from dubin, and copious amounts of coffee. toss in the ovaltine cafe on hastings and we have a winner.
