budapest was great...mission accomplished! ;) i suppose my life was changed there. thats sounds overly dramatic...but our lives are changed every day in varying degrees. the smile from a stranger on a bus has the bizaare ability to make something from the past seem clear or answered... and you've been changed in that moment. the major decisions and choices we make to keep the pages turning change us. or something. how did it change me? ...i started to adventure with someone. the person in question...brez.

so...sitting in the internet cafe watching mtv or some sort of variation of it...checking on the rest of the world. not that mtv is particularily a good example of the rest of the world...but its something i suppose. hungary is a strange place...seems to be some sort of vacuum from the rest of the world...like you know it exsists, and its all around you but somehow here and there dont seem to lock gazes. not quite sure...
i managed to thoroughly scorch myself on the solarium aka hottest sun bed death trap known to man. seriously, no laughing...im in pain.
at least ill have a damn good tan after it all...if my skin doesn't fall off in my sleep between now and then.
hit the hungarian hot springs yesterday. a very pleasent experience overall...apart from i thought i was in the mens changeroom the entire time until i saw an old woman walk out of the cubicle...so either we both got it wrong or there are a shortage of woman spa-goers. not sure about the whole sitting in everyone else's filth aspect of spa-ing either. would have been fine...you know clean mineral water constantly flowing in and fleshy skin flaked water flowing out...had the old guy in the corner not decided to bath himself under the only source of clean water. so techically i was 'relaxing' in his filth. hmmm....nice. i soon moved from that pool and promptly headed for another, this time hotter so as to kill any suspecting organisms.
or at least i could convince myself of that possibility.
started reading 'the vision and the vow'. im inspired and stoked yet again. gotta love the word stoked. its perfect.

it seems to have turned spring here overnight...sweet. never been to a country b4 that i knew absolutely nothing about...its been fun to explore. budapest has some great cafe bars...but their constant choice of 80's music is a little irritating.

my birthday
sorry for the long silence....my life has been everything but quiet these days.
currently listening a lot to quantic, reading generation x, and eating power bars. when i have time. start tesl course on tuesday...might finally figure out english grammar...ms.duffy would be proud. been travelling around with 24-7 a lot these days. had a bizarre moment this weekend when i was asked to speak at the u of victoria...at 3am! so that was fun. actually it was...
then onto the ferry back to vancouver and straight into another meeting. chocolate covered coffee beans are great! so i'm going to sleep when i'm old is the general conclusion.
going to apply for a part time job tomorrow...
i'm busy...and tired...but having fun too.
